The e-Assessment Conference, a first for Singapore will provide state-of-the-art presentations on education assessment trends, show case proven new technologies and software to assist schools in understanding assessment innovation. Leading academic and business experts will highlight how assessment issues are being tackled in a number of education contexts. A programme design incorporating keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, a software exhibition, among others, will ensure meaningful learning experiences for all teachers.


21st century learners, engaged, enterprising, problem-solvers, and adept at technology use will be required if our societies are to successfully meet this new century's challenges and opportunities. Singapore's Thinking Schools Learning Nation, Teach Less Learn More, IT Master Plans, Innovation and Enterprise, among other initiatives, are examples of fundamental education reform. We need as well assessment innovations to better gauge students' mastery of knowledge, skills, dispositions and how well they perform at different tasks. Teachers need quicker, more efficient technologies, more real-time data on student progress in order to be more responsive to student learning needs.
